“This life—being the wife of a head coach—was not for the faint of heart. It wasn’t meant for someone who needed constant attention or reassurance. But I wasn’t that girl. I loved him, and I believed deeply in what he was building.”
—Becca Moore (*Chapter 8*)

When I said yes to Nate, he was honest with me. He told me he was going to be a head coach—and that the road ahead would not be easy. I nodded, full of love and confidence, not fully grasping just how demanding that life could be. Friday nights under the lights sounded thrilling. And they were. But what I didn’t yet understand was that rebuilding a program and creating a culture would require long hours, relentless patience, and the strength to push forward through loss.

At the same time, my own world was expanding. I was learning how to be a new Mommie. Learning how to survive separation. Earning my second master’s degree. Searching for a job while holding everything else together. It demanded discipline, organization, and balance I didn’t yet know I possessed.

But this wasn’t something to fear—it was an invitation to become. An adventure that would stretch me, shape me, and reveal who I was capable of being. I wasn’t just along for the ride. I was growing into a stronger version of myself, fueled by love, purpose, and the belief that what we were building—together—was worth every step of the journey.
